Lab:
I am a PhD student in the lab of Sebastian Haesler, where we investigate how animals analyse smells that they encounter in the environment, and how they differentiate between familiar and novel smells.
My work focuses on a specific part of the olfactory system and its function. This part is the Anterior Olfactory Nucleus, or AON in short. It is a region for which there is a lot left to discover and a fascinating subject for my research project.
