YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD FOR AYA TAKEOKA
2019 Young Investigator Award from the Japanese Neuroscience Society for Aya Takeoka
The Young Investigator Awards were announced by the president of the Japanese Neuroscience Society, Hitoshi Okamoto from the RIKEN Brain Neuroscience Research Center, during a ceremony at the 42nd Japan Neuroscience Congress, held last week in Niigata City.

NERF PI, Aya Takeoka was one of the recipients, and was lauded for her work entitled Proprioception: Bottom-up directive for motor recovery after spinal cord injury.
"It's a real honor to receive this award from the Janapse Neuroscience Society." says Takeoka. "Besides the prize itself, the recognition will undoubtedly help increase the international visibility of my lab's work here at NERF as well."
